By The Numbers
Our safety training and community service programs are made possible by supporters like you. We work hard to make sure we’re a charity that creates an impact you can be proud to get behind!
Over 65,000 people trained in CPR
When even just one person chooses to get trained in the skill of CPR, that means one more person in your community is now equipped to save a life. All proceeds from our training courses goes right back into funding our charitable community service programs!
Over 2,000 events attended
Our trained medical first responder volunteers attend numerous community events, public gatherings and sporting games every week to provide life-saving first aid and emergency response knowledge to keep those attending safe and happy.
Over 400 people transferred
The St. John Ambulance community transfer program provides comfortable and affordable door to point-of-care transportation for people with a non-emergency medical condition and in need of a wheelchair or stretcher. Our transfer team is caring, supportive and keeps the patients’ well-being as their number one priority.
Over 50,000 hours of therapy dog visits
Our volunteer therapy dog teams visit hospitals, care homes, public libraries, universities and even the Vancouver airport to spread a moment of joy to those who may be sick, stressed, lonely or just simply in need of a non-judgmental moment with a furry friend.
